HEY GUYSSSSSS!!!!!
Haven't blogged for a while. I thank you all for I got heaps of views on my cool guys hahahahahahah!!!!!! I will forever use joki for advertising. ANYWAYS back to the topic

Chilling out on head
MA BUDGIES

I don't wanna write that much. I don't know how joki types so much words when I took forever to write this sentence. SOOOOOOOO...... LOng story short.
What you looking at
1.GOT A CUTE BUDGIE!!!!! THe guy said if we wanted another blue budgie we would have to wait a week so we decided to do that cause blue is pretty. Apparently these budgies are rare. They cost $30 But are well worth it. Cause this budgie was so affectionate, it would rub its head on your cheek and once I swore it said hello back when i repeated hello many times. It is male and is called JURTJURT bird bird in chinese. Kinda weird but my mom thought of it.

2. HOMECOMING!!!!!! 2 new budgies  who are sisters coming home.YAYYYYYYYY
3.JURT JURT all alone staring at mirror
  3. When they came home it was a sight to see. WOOOOOOO THey were so happy and jurt jurt wasn't alone anymore so happy ;']
BUT THEN DUNDUNDUNNNNNNN...... JURT JURT hurt his foot somehow sooooo sad..... HIm chilling out on grasss responding to bird calls recorded on camera.

When jurtjurt looking at mirror joki secretly flipped it and took a pic
Jurt jurt loved looking at the dogs even though Cadbry attacks him.

4.Jurt jurt was brought back to the breeder who said he could heal him, but it would probably take a few months cause he gotta massage its foot every day. We exchanged him for his brother. Once jurt jurt was put with his parents his mom didn't care but his dad pushed him over to eat food. SOOOOO KAWAIIIIII!!!!!! BUt unfortunately his brother isn't as affectionate. ALLLL WELLLLL!!!!! Cannot wait to see if they have babies.BElow pic of my 3 birds. THe male on the left and sisters on the right. The male is more small and different colour. We might be able to buy jurt jurt back after he has healed.fingers crossed =]=]=]]]]]]=]=]=]

LASTLY I would like to send a shout out to my biggest fan Kat!!!!!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

喝茶 (Yum Cha)

Location: Mr Chao's Seafood Restaurant, Hurstville
Occasion: Mum's Birthday

To celebrate dear mumma's birthday, the Li Family took a trip to Yum Cha at Hurstville (or..pronounced by full-on-asian-adults "hurseeevill") As expected, since we went on a Saturday, the place was packed full of screaming Asian babies and aunties yelling out their orders to the trolley ladies. So, we ordered the usual favourites but also tried out a new dish! All in all, yum cha = da besttttt :D

char siew bor law bao (pork pineapple bun)
Ok, this HAS to be the best combo ever made. It is basically your standard pork bun put together with a pineapple bun to form this heavenly goodness :9 It is crispy on the outside with hot pork in the middle. YUM!

chiu chow fun gor (chiu chow dumpling)
This is my dad's absolute favourite yum cha dish which he orders EVERY single time we go out to yum cha. He says this restaurant cooks it the best. I never eat it though, nor does my sister..or mum, so usually my dad just eats the entire 'loong' HAHA

lul lin so (durian pastry)
OK LADIES AND GENTS, THIS HAS GOT TO BE MY #2 FAVOURITE DISH OF ALL TIME (you'll see why it's #2 later). This restaurant is the only place where I've ever found this delightful durian dish, which makes me name this yum cha place the #1 place for me to go! If you're lucky, like me, you get it steaming hot once it reaches your table. A light, crispy pastry wraps the warm durian meat (ok meat sounds weird) on the inside, as demonstrated by the photo of the cracked open lul lin so. I don't know who thought up this dish, but they must know how to get to my heart <3

saan jook ngau yook (beef balls with bamboo shoots)
So, ever since I could remember, I have always eaten this at yum cha. I remember experiencing the excitement of cutting the beef ball with my chopsticks into 4 distinct quarters and using a toothpick to stab each piece and plop it into my mouth HEHE. Ok if you ever order this dish, ALWAYS ask for the 'geep tsup' (some asian sauce)

fung zhow (chicken feet)
WOOT WOOT, so here's my #1 yum cha dish of ALL TIME! Some of you (a minority..I hope) might go "eww why would you eat chicken feet?" Well you know what my answer would be? IT'S COS I'M CHINESE. Like seriously, how can you not like the succulent meat? Ok, I won't go into detail on how you eat this (cos it might sound weird) But I don't think anyone could ever eat chicken feet with any sense of elegance heh. Even my mum knows it's my favourite, she always asks for it whenever we go yum cha :)

ngau gun (beef tendons)
This is a dish which I have never ordered before, nor has my parents. But on a whim, mum decided to order it and so..I tried it. IT WAS SO YUMMY! I personally don't like the harder, less chewy ones. The really soft ones feels like they melt in your mouth :3 Hingis said she felt sorry for the cows, cos we even eat their tendons LOL. Will definitely order this dish next time I go!
ngau lei so ("cow tongue" pastry)
I have no idea why they're called "cow tongues"..maybe they resemble cow tongues? But anyhoo, they have nothing to do with the tongues of cows! They're just fried pieces of sweet bread which have a crunchy exterior and a soft interior. They're reaaaally addictive but so small! In Hong Kong, they're twice the size that they are in Sydney and taste even better!

Happy Birthday Maamee!

To the lady who has made me the young woman I am today,

I don't care how cheesy it sounds, I'm just gonna say it: I don't know how I would live without you.

Whenever I'm met with obstacles in life, you're always there to help me leap over them. Whenever I need a shoulder to cry on, your shoulder would be next to me in an instant. Whenever I'm hungry, you cook magical dishes of food to fill my never-ending stomach. Whenever I don't understand something, you always explain it to me until I'm not confused anymore. Whenever I need advice, I always come to you and tell you absolutely EVERYTHING..even though you might make an annoyed face at me, you can't help but help me anyway.

My dear maamee, you are my #1 role model in life and I aspire to be a wonderful mother like you when it's my turn in life to take on that role. If only you could be with me until the very end and accompany me to heaven, but even now, I'm content. You have made such an impact on my life and whenever you laugh, I laugh..COS YOUR LAUGH IS JUST SO CONTAGIOUS :')

I know I've made you upset and stressed countless times, whether it be about the decisions I make or the academic results I reap, but I always hear you telling other people that your two daughters are the best two things in your life and that we're very well-behaved hehe :)

I hope to ultimately return ALL the favours you have given me. I thank God everyday that you're the one who gave birth to me all those years ago, I'm just so blessed :')

I wish you many MANY more birthdays to come and hope that I'll be by your side on each occasion!

All my love,
From your most awesome daughter,
Joki

17 years difference and Mum looks YOUNGER O_o

TRIALS...

..AARRRE FINALLY OVER !

These past 2 weeks = hell. At first...it wasn't too bad with English and 2U + 3U BUUUT then came the sciences and the double-ups. Let's just say, I hope I learnt a lesson from this terrible cramming-before-an-exam nightmare and not do it in the actual HSC.. HEH

Well, my other half (HINGES) is currently at camp..in Canberra..for the next 3 days?! OMGAH how am I gonna survive these next 3 days as an ONLY child? Well tonight wasn't so bad, mum cooked chicken drumsticks BUT BESIDES THAT..the house is unbelievably quiet right now D: cos she's not here for me to yell at, HEHE

Well, tonight is gonna be a fambam (-1) movie night and tomorrow, mum said she's gonna take me out formal shopping :D YAYAY well, I already have a dress..but I can't fit it. I'm so sad :( I THOUGHT THIS EXAM PERIOD WAS GONNA BE UBER-STRESSFUL AND MAKE ME LOSE WEIGHT but unfortunately, I did nothing. In fact, I think I gained. Here's a convo I had with my mum the other day:

Me - Hey Mum, do you think I lost weight?
Mum - (looks me up and down) Lose? More like gain

Motherly love. Nothing quite like it :')
